If you are interested in coaching with the Ardrossan Soccer Club, we are looking for you!

The club needs good coaches to give back to the kids in the Ardrossan area. There are so many good things that come out of coaching and if you have ever coached a team, you will know this already.

There will be several teams in the U10 and U12 age groups in the spring of 2010. At this age the players need instruction in ball control, passing and play-making.

The teams will now be split into boys and girls teams, so we need moms to help with the girls teams. 

The teams play one to two games a week. Coaches are encouraged to have at least one practice a week. The club arranges field availability for games.

Prior to the season starting the club arranges a coaches seminar to get new coaches out for a session to demonstrate a few basic drills, give each coach a package that will have a handout with more drills and practice tips.


All coaches would be expected to take recognized coaching courses.

Depending on what age group you coach, you should should have at least the minimum levels for that group.

We will be posting information regarding Coaching Courses so you can see when the courses are.

Typically, minimum level course would take 4-6 hours out of one day on a weekend. As levels move up, so too would the time for each course.

Fear not, these courses are meant to help you as a coach so you can get better at running your practices and develop your players.

Coaches for the 2010 summer season should consider taking courses now.
